Our Visionaries

Pastor Sullivan Woods

Pastor Woods is a man of God and a loving husband and father. He knows that without God, he would have nothing but with God nothing is impossible for him!

At the age of 12, he accepted Christ and eventually became the leader of the youth ushers at his home church of Union Missionary Baptist Church. While attending Louisiana State University, he continued to serve the Lord by teaching youth Sunday School once a month at Richardson Chapel Church of God in Christ.

After graduation from LSU with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, he moved to Dallas where he attended Friendship West Baptist Church. While at Friendship West, he was a member of the New Members ministry where he designed a standardized new member curriculum packet.

God directed him back to Louisiana and blessed him to meet his beautiful wife, Jackie. He joined his wife's home church in Louisiana, Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, where he answered his calling to be a minister of the Gospel. It was under the leadership of Dr. A.B. Davis-Johnson, Pastor Woods received his license in November of 2001.

Pastor Woods and Lady J would then move to Orlando where they became parents to a beautiful daughter, named Faith.

They also joined the membership of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Under the leadership of Dr. Rolous Frazier, Jr, Pastor Woods received his pastoral ordination in September 2007. Pastor Woods would serve as Youth Pastor there for three years. During their final two years in Orlando, Rev. Woods was lead to plant a young adult ministry. Pastor Woods also received a BA in English (Technical Communication) from University of Central Florida during this time.

God opened up another door and gave Sullivan direction to move to Charlotte, North Carolina. While in Charlotte, Sullivan received a Master's in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University and desire for true ministry. God gave Pastor Woods and his wife this vision of encouragement, the desire to help others, and the fire to spread the gospel by sharing God's love to the world.

Out of this vision, MovIn Faith Ministries was born!

First Lady Jackie Woods

"Lady J"

Lady J spent a lot of her childhood attending church as well as various church programs with her aunt and grandparents. She began to sing at the age of 8 at school and her home church, Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. Lady J was very active at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church singing in the choir. Not only this, she was also one of the founding members of Rose of Sharon’s Praise and Worship Team.

While attending college at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, she continued her ministry by singing in the Inter-Denominational Ensemble (I.D.E), the university's gospel choir. Lady J received a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree with a concentration in Radio/TV/Film from ULM. She also received a M.B.A. with a concentration of Organizational Leadership from Ashford University. Lady J decided to strengthen her knowledge in the Gospel and obtain a Master's in Arts in Christian Ministries from Liberty University.

During her tenure of service at St. John MBC, Lady J was under the musical direction of Pastor Steven Sanders Sr. At this time, she was a member of the choir, the praise and worship team, women’s ministry, and youth ministry. Lady J also started working in the youth ministry along with her husband by teaching the Tiny Tots Bible Study. She also worked alongside Pastor Woods in teaching Bible study in the young adult ministry.

Lady J has a passion for encouraging and motivating women. This passion is not only seen in her ministry but also in her career. Lady J became an entrepreneur and founded First Lady J's an online boutique and consulting firm, which focuses on custom and motivational-themed apparel as well as professional/personal image consulting.

She and her husband were given the vision to begin MovInFaith Ministries to show the world what it means to experience God's Love. They believe that this ministry will only enhance the call on their lives which is to spread the gospel and introduce people to God.
